And please … those of you who love it here (new and old) … going back to the Hellmouth to become “righteous defenders of CoSo” or whatever and using anger, or salt, or debate to “convince people they are wrong” and to come here …
That is NOT the way.
There are many different ways of supporting something or someone. It’s not always about being the loudest most aggressive person in the room attacking everything or living in some constantly defensive posture. I’m so not into that kind of support and that is just another way of recycling the same negative energy that you’re trying to combat.
Being constantly on the attack is never the best way to combat hate. Neither is being on the defensive all the time waiting for attacks to come. It exhausts your MIND and SOUL and inevitably leads to breakdowns of the best parts of yourself.
There is already so much negativity out there and there’s ALWAYS a better way of handling things.
Anger begets anger. Salt begets salt. Asshatery begets asshatery and NOTHING EVER CHANGES.
CoSo is an epic place, let’s keep it that way in a POSITIVE way.
I’m not saying go out and give awful people hugs and shit either. But that whole thing about looking too long into the darkness? It’s true.
