They say it costs nothing to be kind, but kindness is actually quite expensive. It costs a lot for many people who barely have enough to spare for themselves.
No one is blaming ANYONE for having privilege. What people are asking is that you realize you have, and benefit from, privilege regularly and that judging other people from a position of privilege is gross and ignorant.
We don't all have the same 24 hours in a day. People who say such things have no sense of their own privilege and don't understand the concept of people having different realities.
