Something that I don't think many people realize is that just because you're not "happy", doesn't mean then your only option is depression. 𝘿𝙚𝙥𝙧𝙚𝙨𝙨𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝙞𝙨𝙣'𝙩 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙤𝙥𝙥𝙤𝙨𝙞𝙩𝙚 𝙤𝙛 𝙝𝙖𝙥𝙥𝙞𝙣𝙚𝙨𝙨. 𝙏𝙝𝙚 𝙤𝙥𝙥𝙤𝙨𝙞𝙩𝙚 𝙤𝙛 𝙙𝙚𝙥𝙧𝙚𝙨𝙨𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝙞𝙨 𝙀𝙓𝙋𝙍𝙀𝙎𝙎𝙄𝙊𝙉.
There was no point in my life where I was allowed to be just myself. I was not well liked, appreciated, or seen by the majority of people. That was fine.
I grew up in a household of people who never saw me as a person, as something with a heart and soul of my own. At this point being ME is one of the most important things to me.
Focusing on SELF isn't inherently negative. Don't let anyone convince you of that nonsense. That's THEIR EGO and their SELFISHNESS trying to suppress you and CENTER themselves.
The more you you accept other people's terrible and unhealthy treatment of you and others … the more scars you're willingly accepting that don't even BELONG to you …
