My thoughts and feelings about things are personal and specific TO ME and have nothing to do WITH YOU. If you are triggered, seek help and healing. Don't take your emotional and mental dysregulation out on strangers because you don't like how they express their personal experiences with media.

Internalizing other people’s negativity in this kind of “understanding” is not empathy or sympathy – its avoidance. It’s avoiding confrontation, pushback, and uncomfortableness. It’s even avoiding recognizing your own worth. You don’t have to ENDURE that which diminishes you.
